Abstract: On January 23, 2016, the 2016 China Smart Cities Development and Cooperation Conference” was ceremoniously held in Beijing. China Security & Fire Technology’s Vice President, Mr. Xu Tao and General Manager of China Security & Fire’s Market Development Center, Mr. Wang Ying, were invited to this conference on China Security & Fire’s behalf. On January 23, 2016, the “2016 China Smart Cities Development and Cooperation Conference” was held in Beijing. It was sponsored by China Information Industry Association, organized by China Information Times, and co-organized by China Information Industry Association People Benefiting Branch and China Strategic Alliance of Smart City Industrial Technology Union.
Experts from various fields, important ministerial leaders and delegates from about 100 cities studied and discussed recent polices at the conference regarding smart cities, information benefiting people, Internet+ and Big Data, based on development trend of “People-Benefiting Applications” for Smart Cities, with a focus on “Planning Smart City People-Benefiting Construction in China’s 13th Five Year Plan”.

At the conference, China Security & Fire won the “2015 China Smart Cities’ Outstanding People-Benefiting Application Case” award, for its construction project plan for Qufu Public Safety Smart System. Themed “Big Data Reform in Public Security”, Mr. Xu Tao explained China Security & Fire’s excellent solutions for smart cities, smart communities, safe cities and security. In his presentation, Mr. Xu Tao highlighted China Security & Fire’s smart security robot, the first to be used by the security industry. The new practice of using security robots effectively supplements many shortcomings of traditional security, and attracted the attention of all guests.

 The “Smart Community Forum” was held concurrently on the same afternoon. Vice Director of Digital City Engineering Research Center of Chinese Society of Urban Studies, Mr. Yang Liuzhong, gave a keynote speech and highlighted the fact that smart city construction has entered a new era. Nowadays, large real estate developers, property management companies, home appliance enterprises, network equipment providers, telecommunication operators and some emerging internet-based companies have started to dabble in and have even embarked on service-centric models for smart communities, such as, enhancing convenience, benefits and being people-centric. The “cross-industry cooperation and win-win” industrial chain has painted a promising future for the sound development of smart community industry.
